We have been desperately trying to preserve this piece of our Revolutionary History, but in these economic times it is becoming increasingly very hard.  We don't want to have to sell the house and it needs painting and landscaping, a partial new roof on the original part of the house, the barn needs repair and painting, etc.  We would also like to be able to have the Garrison House contribute some support to our local community by offering scolarships for those students interested in studying Revolutionary History as well as being able to contribute to our local families in need.

We have applied for grants, to no avail.  Although we are a NYS Historic Landmark, we are not on the National Registry so this drastically narrows the available grant pool. We also applied for a grant from the NYS stimulus money through Congressman John Hall, but were unsuccessful.   If you know of any company or private individual who would be willing to contribute to our very worthwhile cause, please pass the word- our history is too important to let it fall by the wayside.

Thus, we are in the process of setting up "The Garrison House Foundation" to achieve these goals.  Your contribution, no matter how small is tax deductible and very much appreciated.
